Remorting is a process in which a player can restart as a new class, keeping much
else about their character intact. A class change, while keeping practiced skills.
The process allows for a total of three classes. Your first class, first remort class,
and second (final) remort class. Make sure that you are happy with your second
remort class, because it is the class that will become your primary!
Some manual exceptions may happen for older character with a history of being a
certain class, so that they will be allowed to select a total of three classes while
ending on their original class.
This requires you to be level 100. You must collect a shimmering sphere of
experience, which is obtained by fusing 10 condensed experience. You can create
condensed experience by using the Condense command. You also must obtain a
glyph of each of the elements, by using the Glyph command on a level 90+ NPC.
Remort puts you back at level 1, and resets most of your practiced abilities
back to 1%. Your trade skills remain as they were, as do all of your proficiencies
except, because you have a new class, your class specialization resets to 0. Your
statistics all remain as they were, your race does not change, your training of
health, mana, and vitality remains. Depending on your choice of new class your
health, mana or vitality may drop to the maximum for the class in question if it
is lower than your old class's maximum. All old practiced abilities will need to
be manually worked on if you wish to have a good amount of them again. Samurai
and Ninja skill group abilities do not transfer. You will NOT keep innate or
automatically learned abilities of previous classes, only the ones which were practiced.
Of note: Shapeshifting works different after remorting. Any practiced skills
or spells that the form would grant you no longer do, and are no longer removed
when you revert. This prevents the loss of abilities from previous remort classes.
If your first class is Shapeshifter remort as the form that you would like to keep
the skills of, and you will retain them. Because of this behavior, it is not
recommended that you do Shapeshifter as your first remort class. Deities also
follow this rule, upon your first remort you keep all practiced-type skills and spells
that the Deity granted, but Deities will no longer grant or remove any abilities, once
you are remorted.
